is the sequel to
the popular TC for Quake 2, Q-Racing, which has appeared on
PCGAMER's cover CD twice - the second time in the 5 best Quake 2
mods ever alongside the Eraser Bot and Team Fortress 2! We've
also appeared on the UK's second biggest mag - PCZone as well.
EVEN THOUGH IT'S UNFINISHED YOU CAN STILL USE ALL THE OTHER CARS!
using the power of
the Quake 2 engine, the graphics are incredible! (if we may say
so ourselves!) The lighting, texturing and speed of the Quake2
engine really comes into it's own with Q-Racing. This incredibly
versatile engine has also been used to create Football,
basketball and 2D platform games - it really puts the amateur
Playstation Yaroze games to shame (except 'Adventure Game' of
course). Q-Racing V2 is inspired by the multiplayer classic of
yesteryear - Micro Machines 1,2,V3. Flitsoft loved playing them
over 5 years ago so we thought these works of simplistic genius
need representing in the amateur scene.
, shown in the gallery
below. The tracks look great and posses all-new textures. We
think this is the only TC which doesn't resemble Quake2 in any
way. Each track is inspired by Micro Machines, and beautifully
designed by our very own Paul Matthews and Steven Cheetham. Each
different car handles differently as well with great powersliding
physics including handbrake turns.
, Single Player
against a computer-controlled opponent, Time Trial where you can
use any car on any track and compete with your friends over the
best times, and finally 6-Way Multiplayer Mode - best played over
a LAN with your mates, Q-Racing recreates the multiplayer fun of
Micro-Machines - for free!
as well - MMV3,
floating camera with Chasecam and Top Down variations, varying
skill levels to suit all abilities and patiences, race demo
recording, improved client handling, and more!
