So, you want to play the frogbot in QW, eh? You've come to the right place. The first thing you've got to do, is to download the latest version of QuakeWorld. (Current version is 2.29) Be sure to download both the client AND server. You also have to download a program called priority which makes it possible to run the QW client and server on the same machine with descent performance. Ok then. Now you have to unzip\install all those files to your quake directory. Done yet?

Ok, now, go to your quake directory and execute the file called qwsv.exe. The quakeworld server will then load. Write down the IP number shown upon startup. (If you don't do this, you can't connect with the client, so write it down). When the server is finished loading, type "gamedir frogbot" into the console, followed by "map xxx" (xxx must be replaced by the level's .bsp name. A list of supported levels can be found in the level section) Ok, now start the priority program, and let it load. Then start the quakeworld client (qwcl.exe or glqwcl) and type "connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" into the console (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx must be replaced by the IP number you wrote down when you started the QW server.) And that's it, You have started your own QW server! Now, you want some bots don't you? ...

To spawn bots you must type "exec frogbot.cfg" in the console. Then you can spawn a bot with the standard "addbot" command. However, the spawned bot will be skill 0. Uncool. To change the bot skill, type "skill=" in the console, followed by an impulse command like "impulse 100" for a skill 100 bot. Impulse 200 for skill 200. You get the idea. Then, play like normal! If you want to change dm setting, teamplay setting, etc, you've got to ALT+TAB into windows and do it via the QW server.

Running the client and server on the same machine using linux and windows NT does not require a program such as priority. In Linux you can just start the server and client, while under NT you've got to set the priority of qwsv.exe to "high" using Task Manager. As easy as that.
