Before submitting a bug report, please review the troubleshooting section of the Instruction Manual, and make sure you are using the latest version of AVALANCHE. If you are experiencing a camera issue, where the camera seems to by forced in one direction and/or spins constantly, then you should disable or re-calibrate any extra input devices (such as gamepads) on your machine. If you do not know how to re-calibrate your device, refer to help and instructions from the device vendor. Additionally, make sure that your joystick is in the center position when starting the game up, or the initial calibration readings may be incorrect and result in unexpected behavior. This is the unfortunate result of a value of "0" potentially meaning either "pushed all the way on one axis" or "doesn't exist" (there are some pretty serious standards issues in the world of input devices under Windows). If you are experiencing a crash or hang while playing the game, make sure all of your hardware drivers are up to date. This is especially important for sound and graphics hardware. If problems persist with latest drivers, make sure that you have Windows set to display information when a user application crashes. If you are able to get an illegal operation dialog to appear, you should take note of the Module the crash has occurred in, as well as the offset of the crash in the module (this will be a hexadecimal number on the error box), and any thread context or register information that is listed in the error report. Include all of this information in your bug report. Those crazy alien numbers that no one ever uses are very important to me. If you are getting a hard freeze or cannot produce crash information, but are able to reliably reproduce the issue with a specific behavior, you may file a bug report with detailed instructions on how to reproduce the bug. Note, however, that if the crash cannot be reproduced on another machine, and you cannot provide a module and offset for the crash, then the crash will probably not be found as a result of your bug report. All of that said, if you still have a valid bug report to submit, please go post it in the Bugs section of the TifaTalk forums, the official AVALANCHE forums which are run by my dear friend Joshua. Be sure to include a detailed description of the bug and ideally exception information for any crashes. All images and original media from Final Fantasy VII are copyright their original owners.
