Clients: RIPMAIM Client ASCII (without sluggish HTML controller, updated for TOC2.0) RIPMAIM Client Plugins: Al Bhed Translation IRC Redirector (communicate on IRC through an AIM screen name) MegaHAL MegaHAL (with voice via MS Speech SDK) Other: Module Creation Code SDK DixAlert (Win32) DixAlert watches noise levels on a specified video input device, such as a webcam, and exports JPEG and/or PNG images when it detects a large enough spike. It can also send e-mail to alert the user using the SMTP protocol. It is possible to get a full remote security solution this way by setting the program up to e-mail you (probably through a local SMTP domain redirect since it does not offer security and authentication) on a mobile account, and then setting the program up to export images to a folder which is shared through a web server such as Apache. The e-mail will specify the name of the exported image and you can then go to it directly from whatever your mobile device may be to investigate the situation. ![]() DNSCatcher (Win32) Allows you to use any Windows machine as a DNS server, which forwards requests to and from a real DNS server, and can do redirection mapping by modifying the reply on the way back from the real DNS server. I created this primarily for the PSP web browsing method that's been talked about lately. HTTPServer (Win32) Simple MFC http server application. Nice and compact, convenient for running a web server on any win32 machine without bothering to install anything, and relatively secure (..I think). [current revision is 2, last updated on August 03, 2004] Johnny the Midget Network Software Kit (Win32) A client-server chat program, I wrote this a long time ago as my first winsock experiment. It's pretty useless, but it's here anyway for archiving's sake. Poppy (Win32) POP3 e-mail client with direct string filtering (written to cope with my own horrible spam problem). SmoothDesk v1.1 (Win32) This is a free remote desktop client/server custom-made for PDA's running Windows Mobile. It has a lot of nice features not included in normal remote desktop solutions, such as the ability to travel across the desktop using a downsampled image for the PDA screen, proper right mouse button use, PNG/JPEG compression, support for both portrait and landscape display modes, and dynamic viewing area resampling. Uses MD5 encryption to protect vital information traveling across the network.
