cs_stats was written fully in Visual C++ 5.0, and makes use of MFC. The above zip includes a basic readme that goes over the thought process behind the code, the log parsing routine, and stuff like that. The readme is by no means complete, as I've found it takes longer to fully explain and document code than it does to just write it. I've released this code as a benefit to the community, a starting point for other stats apps, a learning tool, or for someone to take and modify to their specific needs/desires. I don't warrant anything with the code; it's just a free thing that people have asked for and I had been planning on releasing for a while. With that said, if you make any cool changes to the code, let me know and I'll either merge them with the "official" cs_stats version, or add similar functionality. If you find any bugs send them too :-) If you have questions about why I did something (you never know what kind of shortcuts you might take when you're in a code frenzy) or general questions about how the app does its thing, send me a note and I'll be happy to answer them. I don't have time to teach someone how to program, but if you've got a good grasp on the code and need a little more info, I'll be of assistance. Have fun and get busy :-) |
