  • Image | Add Noise, Medium, Monochrome, Uniform, Vertical Line, Min 1, Max 100
  • Image | Sharpen, Very Light
  • Save your intermediate results as "MiniTut5a"
  • Select the Decal tool
  • Select "skull" from Signs.wad using the new tool-settings toolbar
  • Left-click the mouse icon on the lower right of the toolbar to select
  • Set your drawing mode to Freehand
  • Draw the sign by left clicking at 31,31
  • Image | Add Noise, Medium, Monochrome, Uniform, Single Pixel
  • Save as "MiniTut5"
I should mention that if you intend to try out the "Picture Tubes" feature, you should pick a SMALL bitmap (16x16) as your decal source (otherwise it's VERY slow).

Hold down CTRL and click on the image to download the .wal file
